Welcome to the web-site for the Class of 2003, medical sciences, Mt Hope, UWI!
The purpose of this service is to promote better communication between the students in our year and the student committee, the members of which are listed below. This will allow us to keep everyone informed about any news that breaks around the faculty including exam dates, term dates, syllabus changes etc.
As we know, our course seems to be of the ever evolving nature! It is vital that we keep up-to-date on student affairs so that we can react as a unified body should any crisis arise. I hope that this site will help in that respect.
Featured below are links to the Class 2002 lecture notes and the Class 2003 E-mail address. I am planning that in the future we will be able to access our own lecture notes from here. I will keep you posted on this progress.
I should point out that this web-site is still under construction so please bear with me!

(Updated 12th Aug '99) "EXAMS CHANGE AGAIN" To those who already know about the changes as detailed in Kyla's URGENT INFO letter on the class hotmail site, the time for recriminations is over. We must deal with the situation in a positive and unified way. The best advice is as ever - "STUDY!"
To those who still have'nt heard about the changes,I have briefly layed them out below :
Phase 1a exams are to be held on Jan 3rd - 14th, 2000 (2 resits allowed on May 15th - 25th, and Aug 14th - Aug 25th)
Phase 1b exams are to be held on May 29th - Jun 9th, 2000 (1 resit allowed on Aug 28th - Sep 8th)
The block exams will continue as before and details are available from the hotmail site as mentioned before.
The Breakdown : (e.g.) phase 1a - 70%, Block exam - 15%, PBL - 15%
I'm sure that you have a 1001 questions about this development. Some are addressed at the hotmail site, so check it out. Any suggestions and comments can be posted at that same site. Its easy to panic over yet another unexpected change but the most important thing at this stage is to spread the news to everyone concerned.
MORE NEWS :
Comm Skills (CM10 B) results are posted up at Mt Hope. Ironic that it was comm skills that turned out to be the smoothest running course! Hopefully the scores will cheer up those who didnt do so well in the last block exam!
REGISTRATION INFO. - Please check the class hotmail site for faculty and university registration dates found in Kyla's letter.
